The PUSH-ON design is not suitable for all types of hoses. This design is suitable for hoses made of flexible materials such as rubber, PVC, polyurethane, etc. The softness of the hose needs to be moderate so that the hose can form a tight connection with the connector without a clamp. If the hose is too hard, it will be more difficult to push it onto the connector and fail to achieve the expected sealing effect; if the hose is too soft, it may not form a sufficiently tight connection, resulting in the risk of leakage or loosening. In addition, the inner diameter of the hose must be precisely matched to the size of the PUSH-ON connector to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the connection.
For example, braided hoses (such as stainless steel braided hoses) usually require special clamps or crimping tools to ensure a firm connection, because this type of hose material is relatively hard and strong, and it is difficult to achieve a tight connection through the PUSH-ON design. Similarly, hard plastic tubes (such as polyethylene or polypropylene) are not suitable for the PUSH-ON design. These hard tubes cannot flexibly cooperate with the connector and it is difficult to achieve an effective connection. In addition, in extremely high-pressure environments, even flexible hoses suitable for PUSH-ON designs may require additional clamps or other types of connectors to ensure the safety of the connection and prevent leakage or rupture caused by high pressure.
In addition, the working environment also has an important impact on the reliability of the PUSH-ON design. For example, a high-temperature environment may cause the hose material to soften or swell, affecting the firmness and sealing of the connection; while a high-pressure environment may cause increased stress at the connection, thereby increasing the risk of leakage. In a corrosive environment, certain chemical fluids may have an adverse effect on the hose material, causing the physical properties of the hose to change, which in turn affects the sealing and durability of the PUSH-ON connector. Therefore, when selecting and using this type of connector, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as the hose material, hardness, working environment, and fluid type to ensure the safety and reliability of the connection.
